I want to make my 70 litre tank as natural as possible for my kribensis and rummy nose tetras. I want to make it look really good too but don't know much about the place that the kribensis come from and what plants grow there and if there is any wood or rocks in the water. I know they are cave spawners so I will put some caves in but as a zoo keeper I know how important it is for animals to be in a natural environment. Thanks for the help from Tom

there originally from nigeria, heres  a research paper on the distubution of the plants over there... ofc you wont be able to source the actaul plants easily, you could use close realities

edit: looking at the list i notice a few you can get hold of in the trade fairly easy

Limnophila barteri
Nymphaea lotus (a few species)
Vallisneria spiralis
Aponogeton subconjugatus... although it cant be found easily id say get Crispus its found a lot easyer)
Sagittaria Lophotocarpus -  dwarf sag would be a good substitute
Salvinia nymphellula - Salvinia natans would make a good sub

Thank you very much mike and I really like the look of your tank do you use anything to help the plants grow as I always seem to have plants that are eaten by fish or don't grow and then die from Tom

in that tank i used john innes no 3 with a sand cap doseing co2 and ferts CO2 makes a big diff

How much do they cost and also how much do you use. Also when do you get yours from

i used EI which is makeing your own. it all depends on if you need them or not, thats down to your plants and how much light there is over them
