so i just switched over to sand/flourite substrate int my 3 tanks.

the 2 10 gal already had fake plants, so i am not as rushed to plant them, but the 20 gal long is brand new, so it is pretty empty!! :p

i was just trying to order some plants, and i have no idea how many to get, i have read some articles. i need low to mid light plants. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

in the 20 gal:
i have 2 pieces of driftwood, and it will house corys, danios and female bettas
right now it only has a 20 watt flourescent, but i am switching to a 55 watt power compact strip

the 1st 10 gal:
this is my guppy tank, also has 3 corys
i have 2 14 watt flourescent (twisty) bulbs

the 2nd 10 gal
has some more guppys, platys and ottos
has a 15 Watt flourescent light

please let me now how many of each type of plants i should get. i looked on the aquariumplant website, but i asked if their assortments were okay for low light and they said no, so now i am at a loss!! HELP!!!! :D

well in my planted 20g right now I have hornwort (not crazy about moving to my 29g and 10g brackish soon) green hygrofilia (really a nice background plant), java fern, java moss, anubias, crypt, hmmmm here go to http://www.plantgeek.net and click on the low light plants those all should do well, I've also had good luck with my wisteria, and water sprite, and banana plants even though they're not "low light" plants, I've found the wisteria grows broader leaves when under low light.

ps- got any pictures of your sand/flourite base b/c this is how my tank looks now: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v607/MXPX4318/IMG_0904.jpg and I want to switch over to flourite/sand but don't know how it's going to look. Good luck with the plants watch out it's addicting ( My next aquarium purchases will be a 130watt 24" pc strip, flourite substrate, and DIY Co2 so I can start really getting some growth in my tank :) )
