Planted Tanks!

Hi guys. should I have planted them in earth and placed gravel on the top to weight them down? they keep hovering above the gravel level...?
Seriously thinking of going plastic!

Plant each individual plants roots into the substrate, if they don't have roots then plant some of the stem into the substrate and roots will grow, If you have plants with rhizomes then they will need tying to wood or rocks.

you can also use metal strips that you can get from your lfs to weight them down until they will stay put on their own with their roots
