i will be using tropica substrate underneath my gravel for my forthcoming planted tank. would i need to vac it like you would normally do to a gravel bed or will the underneath soil get sucked up???

Hi darrene,i would think the best way would be to just disturb your substrate and any mulm/ detrious can be vacumed out without losing your tropics soil. regards john
