Love the Juwel backgrounds, wish id put one on my tank. You should def get some more plants it looks to patchy for me.

I was wondering where you put your heater since the back now isnt flat so suckers wont work, im assuming it would be on either of the 2 ends?

it should fill out about within a couple of weeks hopefully dont want it to fill out to much as the background is the main theme/focal point and ive still got one more plant coming but im going to order a few more small ones.

ive also got some ricca flurtis(sp) which i will be adding later (1/2 weeks time

It's alright, I hope you don't take this the wrong way. I think the plants are to uniform, you need to scatter them out a bit, and sort them out into height size. At the minute they just look like you plonked them in a straight line. It makes a hell of a difference when they vary in places, but stick to background, midground and foreground rules aswell.

i wanted honest opinion to improve the tanks look

tbh i did just plonk them in! as i wanted to get them in the water with some light.

nearly gave up with my tank as my rena XP2 decided to leak  so i had to drain my tank (left about 2 1/2 inches in) and move the tank! to clean the carpet!

i lost about 3 inches of water (39 litres 8.5 uk gallons)

anyway

moved plants the plants around arounds

recieved 2 more plants (first couple of pictures (hair grass and another red water rose due to the condition i recieved it in(postman's fault)

It's looking better, but still a bit scarce. I can see what your doing trying to spread them around so the tank looks less empty, but IMHO, it would look much better if you grouped them together. I'm just giving you my honest opinion, but that's my opinion, you may like it how you already have it. I'm just giving you suggestions. :D

I agree..
Things tend to look better grouped together. What I also think looks good in a large tank is just using a few types of plants. Ive seen tanks with great backgounds like that look fantasitc with clumps of vallis and differnt types of grass and just the odd small broad leaf plant to break it up. that way you see the background first and the plants just draw your eye to it and complimant it. I would have two banks/groups of plants to each of the back 2 corners then some small clup forming plants just in frot of thoughs and gently spreding into the middle. Would look stunning :D

I think it looks good but if your injecting Co2 and have high lighting then you might want to order alot more plants and some fast growers to avoid the algea issues. I lovvve your background BTW. :good:

im still not 100% happy with it so therefore im going to leave it for a week and see what it looks like.

if i still dont like it i will prob redo it again

i have only got about 1.8 wpg but then with reflectors (which i have) it claim to add an extra 100% so it is 3.6.

what fast growers do you recoomend?

i also have 10x cherry shrimp coming tommorow and will be getting some ottos

I love that background, a lovely effect. I wouldn't want to lose the space though.

What are those circular holes in it?
