iam wondering about your light, i have never seen anything like that in the US. is it better for the tank, or is because you have a certain kind of tank?

Brilliant tanks i must say, i dont comment that much on tanks lately, just the really good ones and both of those are excellent, i think the fish are enjoying them as much as i did as they look very healthy also, i really need to get round to doing a high light fish tank, ive got 4 low light ones but i havent plucked up the courage to do a high light one even though ive been told they are fairly easy still.

Once you get to the big boy lights (i.e. t5's, compact flourecent, or metal halide) the lights get some space between teh tank as not to cook the water, ruin the light, and help evenly distribute light throughout the tank. I was kinda wondering that too, but I just recently purchased a compact flourecent system, and it has "legs" like that to raise it above the tank.

Yup very nice tanks Barney. Reef and planted tanks are my favorite types of tanks although I have never made a SW tank.

I could sit in front of these two aquariums for hours.

I love the nano! I have been wanting to get one myself for a while now... yours is pushing me to get one now! :hyper:

Very nice tanks, I must say that planted tank is lovely! as is the Nano :D
