Well, I just started a new tank about 3 weeks ago, as I was letting it cycle i put a couple of plants into the tank...well, when I returned from my spring break I didn't take a very good look at my tank until today but I have little snails everywhere! is there any ways to get rid of these things? any snail-b-gone  or something like that?

Well, if you haven't found it already the pinned pest snail topic in the invertebrates forum covers just about everything. :good:

They're little pests, I keep a bunch in a tank and let them breed as puffer food. I keep lots of loaches, so they aren't a problem in my other tanks but I'm sure you've got stocking plans of your own and don't want to stock around snail eating fish.

if you're still cycling and really dont want them, you may want to consider just putting some anti-snail treatment in to kill them off. It'd be much easier to do it now rather than later once you have fish.

They are a bugger to get rid of once you get your tank fully stocked and planted. Get rid of them sooner rather than later. I now bleach dip all new plants in a 1 : 19 of of bleach to water. Each plant dipped for 1 minute then thoroughly rinsed afterwards. I also remember someonw on here recommending this:

but I haven't used it myself so can't comment. If it works then let us know.

:good:
