Im going to get a 26 gallon bowfront fluval tomorrow, and I just would like to know how exactly I should go about cycling it,
I really would love a planted aquarium because I hate the look of fake plants, and I think it just makes the fish happier,
and I would like to buy my plants at the same time that I buy the aquarium so I was just wondering how I go about doing a planted cycle of the tank? I have a betta fish 2 platties and 2 Mollies in a 10 gallon tank I can move over to assist with the cycling if neccisary and I will also put 50 of the tank water from my 10 gallon into the 26 and scrape off some filter media to put in the new filter to aid the process.
I was just looking for some advice about planted cycles! Thank you

This maybe better asked in the planted section.
I think a planted(silent) cycle is a very heavily planted tank that really acts as a filter as it uses up the ammonia. I'm not sure if that is what you want. That is a lot of pants. My knowledge is limited on this type of cycle.
If you want your filter to be cycled then best with out plants initially. Then add your plants. You could have quite a few plants in a tank but many would not consider it a planted tank.
Best moving a third of your filter over to the new tank and adding ammonia. Probably cycle in no time.
