Hey guys,

As some of you may know, my Brackish planted tank didn't turn out. I saved the remaining plants and put them into my Discus tank. I checked today, and a lot of the bottom of the stems (working up to the top) are turing black

There is a C02 system, and they are in full Flourite gravel. Liquid dose of flourish every water change. WPG is unknown, but it must be more then 2.0 as the tank is very lit up.

Just going by your avatar, if you have them in pots they are rotting, I think that pots restrict the amount of oxygen getting to the roots causing them to rot. If they are not in pots then I would check if the black part of the stem is soft, if so cut the plant off above the black stem and replant the healthy bits and they may take.

Plus with decent lights and CO2, something like Flourish is probably not sufficient unless you have a really high fish load.
