Hi every one....I want to look into setting up a planted tank for my bettas. I'm taking a short cut by asking rather looking through the hundreds of posts regarding plants. 
For a 20ltr set up what do you recommend for soil, lighting, filter, and of course some really hardy plants. The only successful plant that grows well in my tanks is Algae. I haven't had success in keeping plants so I want to start right from the beginning with good expert advice
