Hey guys!
Can anyone give me an ID on this plant:

Sold as sag something or other...

Had lots and lots of white roots, should have taken a pic of that prior to planting it. Came highly recommended for a low-light low-tech setup by the Fish room manager....

Thanks!

Looks like Dwarf Sag, brilliant stuff, only problem with it for me is it is too easy to grow! It does well in very low light IME, I grew it very easily in a 30" tank with just an 18w T8 tube that was years old.

Looks like the manager at least had a little experience with plants, good buy :good:.

It will probably grow taller, to the surface of the water and may even flower for you :).

Heres mine flowering:

To the SURFACE of the WATER?!
It was sold to me as a foreground plant.
My tank is 20" high!

I have sagitarria platophylla and it looks alot similar to this one. Yes, it starts out as a foreground plant, but I have a similar tank like yours and some of the plants grew at least 30 cms high under low light (like yours)

30cm high?!
*sigh*
Is there NO foreground plant that STAYS a foreground plant for a low-light tank? (with the exception of anubias, which costs an arm and a leg here!)

in a low light, no c02 tank it should stay around the 2-3 inches.

It is a foreground plant.

 If your plants get too tall for your liking then just trim them, jeez. Sharp pair of scissors, job done.

I agree. But left long enough (months and months) it will gradully get taller.

As three-fingers has said, it's a great plant.

I'll just have to give this plant a haircut everytime I come home from school. It ranges from 2" to 5" tall right now The fish seem to love it.

*sigh*
Oh well.

It's cute, and it works really well. Hopefully I have as much success with it as everyone else did. It'd be nice to take some chunks of it for my 15 gallon when I leave at the end of the month.
