Plant Id Please

Hi Can anyone id this plant for me and tell me the best way to cut it back? Its a lovely plant but is taking over my tank. Thanks

looks to me like Hygrophilia Polysperma

Just cut it back to the length you want and replant the cut stems if you want. The cut plants will grow side shoots and become more bushy.

Thanks ted28 wasn't sure if I could just cut it off at the top or have to up-root it and cut it from the bottom. I'll do as you suggest and replant the cut off bits. Thanks a lot for that!
