Plant Id Please

The first one looks like it could be a ludwiga sp. Perhaps Ludwigia repens ''Rubin'', and I can't seem to find anything that matches the second one.

The first plant is Hemigraphis colorata, look it up on here http://www.tropica.com/default.asp

The second one Ive seen but i couldn't tell you what it is, iv bought it in a mixed batch from mail order, and i could never get it to grow, i don't think its fully aquatic, it looks Little like Bolbitis heudelotii but i know for defo its not that.

I have just bought the second one, i think i saw it on the Tropica web site plant list. I think it said it was easy, i hope it is.

I really think that's a ludwiga. It looks like a stem plant, rather than the link to the hemi. plant that looks more like a rosette or whatever its called. Anyone else want to take a guess?

2nd one in the first post is African fern.

I would go with Hemigraphis as well, which ludwiga do you think it is Jen?

I think Ludwigia repens ''Rubin''. It has that deep green top, and brilliant eggplant colour.

I had never heard of the otherplant you two are talking about, so i could be talking out my a$$.

Yeh I see what you mean Jen, the only thing is, nightowl's link (post 8) looks very very much like his own photo. With the green on the top of the leaf and red/purple underneath.

Sam

Its definetly NOT ludwigia rubin, the leavs on ludwigia are alot smaller and smooth, also the purple on the underneath isnt as strong as the hemigraphis.

Cool. Like I said, I'd never heard of the other plant, and the ludwiga was the first thing that jumped out at me. Mystery solved!
