sorry, 100% non aquatic. will be dead in a month or so.

be carefull when buying plants from the LFS. they sell drowned house plants labeled as aquatic plants in most shops.

it's bad i know but not a lot we can do about it apart from moan and whine (i had a big row with Wildwoods (big respected LFS in Enfield) yesterday on the same point. i spent £25 on lovely looking red plants which will die in a few weeks. I guess i should have done my research first.

in general no aquatic plant has green and white stripes, or green and red for that matter.

another good pointer is when you lift the plant out of water it should be floppy, aquatic plants dont hold their shape out of water.

It's a Dracæna species. Will die and rot, but the tough leaves usually last a month or two before starting to break up. One of the more common non aquatics you see for sale in lfs.

I got caught with one of those. It went all black & slimey after a couple of weeks. wont make a mistake like that again, I am a more careful shopper now.
