Hi all,

Need some help on the plant front.

Got a 180 liter tank with 7 plants . God know what they are , will find out if you want to know. My lighting is 60 watts but i have just added a reflector on each.

The plants are looking a bit yellow what else do i need to do?

If i cant get them to grow going to pull them all out and replace them in plastic

Reading between the lines here - you'd be just as happy with plastic or real plants?

If so, save yourself a shed load of hassle & expense & just go plastic mate...

Cheers Andy that what i would of said lol. I will keep them going untill they die. Plants seem harder to keep then fish.

just something to point out. do they have food? like subterain fertilisers and plant food in the water? i had some plants go yellow it was a lack in food. ide buy a a small plant food and try that before replacing them with plastic.

Do remove them when they die or when leaves etc appear dead, as when they rot down, ammonia will be realeased and we all know what a nasty that is.

Once your filter is cycled, far, far harder.... You can make it simple for yourself (in terms of knowledge) by spending $$$ and a lot of time...
