Ok, im a beginner with tanks and plants so two questions in one:

I have both Egeria Densa & Cabomba Caroliniana and both seem to be growing at an incredible rate: everything says fast, but is half an inch to an inch in 12 hours sound right?

secondly, can i just cut from the top of this and plant the cutting to try and increase the spread and density (i have a few of the plants above water height now, which are growing along the water plane. would like to cut them and increase the density of the plants)

thos two plants grow like there is no tom. Yes you can simple chop em up to make more, just make sure you dont shadow a lot of the plants, htye tend to die out without light

they are spaced currently about 2cm apart in a semi circle-ish shape, hiding my co2 production lines :) and id like to add another "row" (its not a perfect row) infront, spaced between the current gaps.

its still quite random looking and has the characteristics of a rapid spreading plant in the wild whilst functional
