okay just bought some plants for my tank its a low setup and i have EI frets for them should i put the frets in strait away or let them adapt to my tank first?

Always add ferts straight away to help stop the plants dieing. And don't forget EI is for high tech setups, so you might be better looking into the modified dosing for low tech if you haven't already.
