Plant Dying

Ive had this plant for some time but now its leaves are starting to have black lines on them, so far 3 leaves have died. I would supply a pic for u since I dont know the species of plant it is, but I have a old 1990 camera and it wont work at the time. But anyways ill describe it for u.

- Its bascially like the Brazilian Sword (Spathiphyllum tasson) but more sturdier and taller.

Im not being funny but most people struggle with guess the fish from a few descriptions, let alone guess the plant . Id try to get a photo if you can then post in the plant section instead of here.
