Plant Cuttings

hi i am about to cut some of my plants as they are growing too much for the tank will the cuttings grow again if i plant them or will they just die off

It depends on the species of plant. Most stem plants will grow new roots from the cuttings. Plants like Java Fern need a section of root left on for them to continue to grow. That being said the cut off leaves can sprout plantlets off dying leaves that you can then attach to new rock/wood.

thats great thank you i just wanted to shorten the plants as they are too long and put the cuttings in my fry tank
