So here are some issues I'm looking at with my plants. I don't know how bad they are or if I should even worry about it but I wanted to ask anyway.

Some of the plants are experiencing leaf curl while others have a green and black spotted surface. The spotted surface is primarily on the oldest leaves on the plants. However, I would have thought my crypto wendtii would have been the most fragile, but instead, they are perfect.

I thought about posting this under my KNO3 thread but in case it might be an entirely different issue I wanted to just be sure.

Well the fact that the green spots are on the anubias says to me you need more P. I actually use my anubias to tell me when I need to dose :)

As you know I now run a non CO2, non fert setup and therefore when I see green spots start to appear on the anubias in goes some of my old EI macro solution :)

When your dry ferts arrive this will be sorted ;)

Mix the KNO3 and KH2PO4 up as follows:
500ml DI water (1 pint)
25g KNO3 (3 heaped teaspoons)
3g KH2PO4 (1 level teaspoon + 1 pinch)

Shake well and leave in a warm place overnight. Before using shake well again and then dose.

Dose 1ml per 10 USG so 5.5ml = 1 teaspoon (1/6th fluid oz)

Dose twice a week, once on the first day after water change and the other 3 days later. OR 2 teaspoons once a week.

That dose is for non excel. If you are still dosing excel then dose a teaspoon of the solution daily (or split the 1 teaspoon x 7 into whichever routine you want)

Yeah I'm US so no TPN+ here but you may recall helping me earlier this past week...I'm getting in a pound of each of the dry ferts on my other thread. So that should clear up I guess when I figure out the dosing. =P I think a little less than a pinch in my 55 gal. on water change days every week is what you had said.

Lol. Yeah I remembered after posting. I was editing while you were reposting . lol

Ignore what I said in the past few days. We know its P now.

Follow the little guide above. I have tried to translate it into american (or should I say English) measurements.

Silly thing that. The US uses the imperial measurements and the English use the European metric :)

Easier to measure things in metric though :)

Hope this helps

I agree. Metric is so much easier than Imperial units of measure. When I was in college years back taking chemistry classes I got rather used to the metric system.
