Hi All,
The wool around my pygmy chain sword has come off, and now the plant won't stay down, it keeps floating to the surface not matter how hard I try to get it deep enough in the gravel (it's only been in the tank 2 weeks).

I still have one of those metal-like things that came wrapped around the chain sword when I first bought it, can I use that to anchor the plant or will it hurt my fish?! I'm particularly curious since I have several corys... Any advice or thoughts? Thanks.

They're called "lead strips", but I was assured that there is no lead in them. :p

I think it would be ok.

Plant weights are controversials. Personally I use puddy and puddy my plants to the botton of the tank if possable. Some declorinators have a chemical that removes metals that are to abundant in the water. The metal stripes with have a chemical reaction with the declonator/demetalizer. In my experiance, the water turns grean becuase of that!
