Plant Advice

Hi all ,

O.k i know nothing about plants so i need all your help.

I have a 40 gallon tank with 2 x 30 watt tubes. I put some plants in and they started to go yellow and wither. So i put in some reflectors now the plants have started to grow really well although they are still a little yellow. i add some fertiliser every couple of weeks as the instructions. Now i seem to be getting dome algea build up on the glass.

Any advice i would like nice green plants.
