Plant Advice Please

Hi can you tell me if i can use some of the plant from my outdoor pond in my tropical tank? I have some nice healthy plants in there and wondered if there was any reason i couldnt as long as they were washed off first?

there isn't much you can put in an aquarium, apart from probably water lettuce or duck weed. I'd be warey of both really as duck weed will soon take over your tank and if you have a hood and lights the lettuce would end up getting burnt. Most pond plants you see are semi aquatic, so they will grow out of the pond and not under water.

Anacharis Egeria densa
Hornwort, coontail Certophyllum demersum
(Lagarosiphon major)
These are the 3 i have in the pond outside. They are underwater and are sold as such. They have grown well all summer and i have plenty to take out if its ok.
