Plant Advice/info/id

Hey all!

I believe that the pictured plant is Amazon Sword, but I'm not 100% sure. What I want to know is are the little leaves that are growing off the main palms other little Amazon Swords or something more sinister?!

Also can someone ID this species for me? Sorry about the quality, I was in a bit of a rush this morning. It has go from a pleasant sized plant to a flailing mass of green! I would like to trim it but not sure how to go about it, plus would like to replant the trimmings. There seems to be dangly "root" coming off it too. Also it had what looks like a black coating over part of it... I would like to know that that is too, but didnt photograph it...

your first plant looks like a Java Fern, if i'm not mistaken. actually you don't need to worry at all about the little plant that growing of it, thats the plantlets!
just wait until it grows out a bit and you can take it off the main leaves.... by the looks of your Java Fern, I say it's growing really well

Your 2nd plant maybe an Elodea Densa, but not sure as I have never had this plant

i'm sure somebody else with more experienced will come and correct me if i'm wrong!
