How do :)

I have a 6ft tank with lots of fake plants in that I'd like to replace for real ones. I'm looking for advice on a few things if possible.

What plants are best for a novice? I don't have any Co2 kits or anything although my lighting is strong. I'd like a variety of plants, including some that grow high.

Am I able to keep the plants in pots if they come in them? and maybe just bury the pot in the substrate? I'm paranoid about my fish digging them up, they'd be easier to manage in pots?

I have some large pieces of bogwood and would like to grow moss on them if possible, any tips or suggestions?

Any help or advice anyone can provide would be gratefully received :)

Thanks in advance

If you have high light then you'll need CO2 and fertilisers as the plants will be struggling with high light and no way to photosynthesize. If you could lower the lighting and go ultra low tech then you'd be fine with adding nothing and plants like Crypts, Swords, Ferns and Moss. You can keep them in their pots but it won't give the plant room to spread it's roots, I'd go with those species, tie the ferns and mosses to wood and swords and crypts root very well, your fish won't get them up easily. :)

Thank you for the response :)

My light fitting is 8 t5 tubes, the run on 4 switches so i could use any combination of 2.

I've got fine gravel, will that be ok as a substrate?

Someone is selling stargrass on eBay, it's advertised as low demand and not requiring c02 or fertiliser, do you know if this is the case?
