Hi over the next few weeks I'm planning a re scape
I have a few questions about moving plants

I'm currently dosing with easycarbo to try to kill
Some black algae on my anubias plant, they are currently
Growing on rock what I want to no is can I remove
Them and trim the root and attach them to the new
Bog wood I have got??

I also have some cryptocoryne plants will I be able to
Move them?

Cheers

Ok np,
How far do you trim the roots back?
I'm also changing the sand to something not so fine
As it shifts to much so it will be a full strip down
Will this effect my cycle??

Ohh you any thing left from your clear out you mite thing I would like :)

Cheers

lol, what are you looking for? I think I'm keeping the plants, although I may change my mind about that (I've only got crypts and java fern anyway), but other than that I've got fish and wood. Lots of wood lol.

Trim the roots back a bit. Depends how long they are really. If they're only 2, 3 inch long then leave them. Some of mine sprouted roots 7 or 8 inch long, so if they're like that they I'd trim them to about 3 inch ish. Only because it makes it easier to attach them.

lol, i dont no, i never no what im looking for till i see it, probly some more wood maybe plants....

the roots are ver good most of them have run down the rocks and gone in to the sand
i just wanted to make sure if i cut them they wont die on me...
