It's been a LONG time since I had a saltwater tank. My last one was a 10g nano about 5 years ago. I'm kind of intrigued by the idea of a tiny pico tank with just some shrooms/zoos and inverts.

So right now I'm making an equipment list. First on the list: the tank itself. I'm debating between two:

(1) JBJ 3 gallon Picotope ($41.99 + shipping on DrsFosterSmith.com) ... 3 gallon acrylic tank, comes with a 9w 50/50 compact fluorescent light and a 40gph filter - http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=15493

OR

(2) Finnex 4 gallon Pico ($48.00 + shipping on Amazon.com) ... 4 gallon glass tank, comes with a 26w compact fluorescent light with reflector (it says 1/3 blue and 2/3 white, plus 2 blue LEDs) and a 31gph filter- http://www.finnex.net/index.php?product_id=29&page=shop.product_details&category_id=1&flypage=flypage.tpl&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=61&vmcchk=1&Itemid=61

Thoughts on which one?

:hi: to the salty side

Before you start making a choice of tanks take a look at Donya's pico tank thread and jennybees :good: might give you some ideas

Looking forward to following your progress

I personally like the Finnex one better, it seems to be a better setup (more lights, less filters which I believe are unnecessary anyway) and the extra gallon can't hurt. However I'm no expert on pico tank's so definitely get a second opinon. :)

It's funny, on another forum we're going to have a contest, and we're either going to use the JBJ or this one:
My link

We're probably going with the one in my link because it is much better suited for corals - more flow and more light.
