I have been running a 15 gallon tank for nearly 6 years now and want to try and create a small waterscape using a nano tank set-up with the possibility of breeding some shrimps within this tank. I am new to nano tanks and therefore would love to hear your advice on how to get started and which tanks would be most suitable to use. Obviously I would only be using a small tank with a capacity of around 20 litres but there are so many options out there it gets very complex when looking into the tanks.

Another question I have is around the idea of CO2 canisters and their effectiveness/necessity in these tanks as I have never used CO2 in a tank before!

I'm no plant or nano tank expert, but I saw on here the other day that someone did a review of the fluval flora nano tank, I think it was that one.
If I remember correctly the mini co2 system that it came with it was not used, i think because it was hard to regulate the amount of co2 going into the tank or something like that.

However, seeing some of the systems that use co2, there is no doubt that if you get it right, it produces amazing results. I've never used co2 myself or had a tank that small, but like you, I am too looking into a small setup possibly with a little co2 kit, be nice to find out if there is small co2 kit out there that is reliable and gives you control. So I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

Good luck, hope you get some more answers.
