planning 20g planted goldfish tank

I am planning a 20 gallon plaNTED TANK FOR MY FANCEY GOLDFISH. iwant to know what plants and other things I can add that goldfish wont eat.

Are you aware that a 20 gallon tank will be fine for one goldfish, but no more.

well on this forum, yes, but on others it will be okay for two smaller fancy goldfish. But I only have one.

I do believ though the 10 gallons per goldfish, even though this forum is 20 for 1 then 10 after.

The common rule is the bigger the better for goldfish, But I have seen so many hudge lionheads and Orandas that is kept in 5g tank as they cant handle the water current of bigger filtered tanks.. Very similar to Bettas

Not sure if goldfish eat plants or not...

What will be your tank set-up? How many watts, substrate, ect...? Are you going for more of a natural/jungle look or is the plan going to be a zen garden look (which would look really cool with goldfish)?

just gravel, and really high lighting, causes all kinds of algea.

As the link says, the main problem with live plants in a goldfish tank is..... the goldfish. They love to eat and/or dig up plants.
