Right....well after all the drama of the evening here are the next two on the list.

Thumbelina & Kizzy who I already have some babies from.....looking all female at the moment but then who am I to say lol

Thumbelina. The reason his fins are a little crumpled in places is because he refused to open them for the first 6 months so have ended up looking a little creased up.

Lookin' very nice!
Love plan C :good:

OH has kindly agreed to me setting up a 10gallon(already done hehe) for a nice male for my birthday. How generous. Now, where?!

Lol....I thought you'd like that pair. Plus as I have babies already I know there shouldn't be a problem.

Also the female in the second pair, although not spawned before has released eggs only a few weeks ago.

It's always better to let the OHs think it was their idea....well done for your sneakyness

Meant to add, at least you know the first pair are definitely male and female! and I doubt that second female is actually male! Very.. very nice!

Haha, well - he actually set up the 10gallon as another grow out tank for yet another drop of guppy fry. But then my convincing of "a betta would reaaaally look nice in there" worked a treat :good: Just need to figure out where to get one from!

Well this was Thumbelina on the 2nd March....this is why he got the girlie name.

He was actually already 7months old there lol For the most part we do get it right but there will always be those that confuse us or slip past

So will you be getting some breeding going once you get your garage all set up :hey:

Yikes

Yep, definitely. Hopefully be getting some imported. Had melano HM and orchid CT going last time round but it all slowly dwindled away with a new baby on the way at the time. Just need a betta fix at the moment, so will get a nice male in - possibly a pair if I can and wait 4-8 weeks before conditioning/spawning. I could still do one spawn at a time in the house, until garage is done - that's only really if it's going to be bigger than a few at a time!

Yes but you know what it's like....it soon escalates into a Betta emporium within no time

Are you going to go for the Melano and Orchids again or try something different this time round? You don't see them very often so would probably go down very well and sell easily too.

Ooh I know LOL. It's too addictive.

If I could get those two again, then yep - definitely. Always had a thing for melano's and orchids. If not, then not sure.

Here were my wee beauties!

So yeah, although the melano's are a bugger to raise  I've been in contact with the person who got me them before, so time will tell.

WOW.....they are both gorgeous especially the Melano....he is just stunning   I hope you do manage to get these again....people would be biting your hand off for them.....including me probably

Haha, yeah they are gorgeous. Although I remember getting them and having to LOOK for the Orchid in the bag. He was absolutely TINY.

Waiting on a reply to see what's available anyway, have said there's no rush so not expecting anything anytime soon. Patience, lol.. can I contain myself?

It'll be so worth it in the end but I know what it's like to wait. I had to be patient for months before I got the purple BFHM that I wanted and I'm one of those people who "want it NOW" lol

Alot of the Bettas I have now have come from his line, including Thumbelina and Kizzy but they had different Mums.
