I went to petco to get my bettas. I saw a short finned male there and tottaly fell in love and ended up getting him.is he a plaket? or just really young? I plan on trying to breed him

we need some pics only advice i can give is to look under the ventral fins for a small white dot. if there is one, youve got a female

it is very pretty. to take a good piccie, you need to put it in something small and with clean glass and be patient..
ps the photo on other thread is good!

Thats not stricktly true as some Plakat Males have the ovipositor until they reach maturity, at which point it vanishes.
