Hi all,

Do these little monsters eat moths?

If so i think ill invest in a couple cos ive got a bad moth problem. (BIG moths)

And where can i get hold of some in yorkshire?

Cheers
Chris

 No worries thats a guppy :kana:
Its deff not a gambusia. The mouth is too far up and square. She's maybe just very hungry and and that's making her a bit bad tempered..lol  Plus she looks preggers too, another reason for the desie to nosh on everything in sight :kana:
Also if you look at the dorsal fin and the one underneath the fish they are in the same position. Not so on the gambusia. The dorsal sits further back, and gives the illusion of a shorter tail. Plus the actual tail fin in very short on the gambusia.

cool...

unfortunatly - our last male guppy (different tank) died yesturday (before i had chance to introduce them) - old age.

if she is pregnant - she started very young - when we got her she was only 5mm long! - is it likely

(the gravid bit does look dark to me, but i'm well out of practice with livebearers, I havent bread guppys for nearly 12 years!)

They are crafty little beggers guppies..lol They can breed from about 8 weeks but that's rare, but They can store sperm and keep fertilised embryos on hold until the situation they are in is more apt for breeding. So you never know. She maybe just full of food ;)
All females have a gravid spot. I have babies that are 2 weeks old and about 6-8mm long the females are apparent already from their gravid spots, but you need your specs on to see em :p .

Sorry tp hear about the male guppy, but it comes to us all I guess. Old age that is..lol

You will have to keep us posted on this little fish. :shifty:

Now i've got one - It'll be hard to resist getting a few and then breeding them.

I got 6 males ages ago (about 18 months) so that i didnt end up with loads of fry.

we'll see... ;)
