Pk X Vt

things didnt work out trying to breed my CT male, he is just too aggressive and wont build a decent nest. so ive changed the plan completely, and doing things a bit differtly. ive put a divider in my breeding tank and have my pk male in one side and i just introduced my marble vt female on the other side. i would like to produce a few pks with the marble markings. they both seem very keen, her more so. had he already built a nest i would have been tempted to let her into his side, but he only went in yesterday and hasnt built a nest yet. probobly a good thing at this stage. im going to leave them a week or two to get aquainted.

heres a pic of the prospective pair. she has a bit of a raggid anal fin in the pic as she got beat up by another girl in the bag on the way home from the shop. its healed up nicely, shes grown a fair bit since too, and has a nice round tummy

so what am i likely to get?

Not sure about the colouring but if I remember right

Pk x Vt = VTs with PK genes

and for F2 you take one of those girlies and spawn them with dad and you'll get 50% Pks and 50% Vts,

but don't take my word for it. I haven't had bettas for the longest time and I've forgotten so much

That's right. I'd just get a plakat girl for the male, honestly. Makes it easier rather than going the long way around and ending up with a bunch of VTs to find homes for...

the problem is geting a pk with the markings of the female. i want to produce some pks with the same marble markings as the female
