Pipe Size On Aquamanta Efx1000

Does anyone know the size of the piping on the Aquamanta EFX1000 please?

I bought one on Monday and love it, but have just received a Hydor ETH200 heater to go with it and the piping looks to be too big. I don't want to cut the output pipe to attach it to the heater and then find out it's too big (heater is 12mm which seems to be the standard but there is a 16mm version available) as I'll be left with no usable pipe, so no filter and poorly fish!

I've googled but can't find detailed product info. Does anyone know if these two are compatible please?

I believe its the largest 17/22mm.

But if you ring MA they'll tell you for sure.

I dont think the 1000 has the biggest pipe, its the smallest of the new range filters, should have the same as EFX300 i think.

That's a shame, was going to buy the same filter. Tell me if you get something to work around?

Well I didn't go to the 'extremes' of chopping up pipe, but disconnected one end and tried it in the heater. It is too big. They do a 16mm version, so I'll return this one, try and source the 16mm, and report back...

Sorry, just seen this!

I'm sending the original 12mm back on Monday, and will then buy the 16mm version - I'm fairly sure that will fit, but will confirm back in a week or two when I receive it...
