hi everyone i finally got babies how long does it take them to be free swimming and what should i feed them???

Depending on the conditions of the water the eggs will hatch into wrigglers in about three days, three days after that they will become free swimming. Don’t worry about getting special food for the fry, the parents will take care of them.

The parents will take care of them? They still need food!

I think what it means, is feed the parents, and they will crush up food and spit it out for them. Though if you wanted to directly feed the babies, crushed flake should do, maybe baby brine shrimp if you want.

The parents do indeed crush up the food and spit it out for the fry, i've watched them do it. :)

The fry I removed from my sajica and fed more on flake food, grew slower than the ones the adults fed on normal pellets. The adults will do a fine job feeding the fry on what you feed them.
