Pike Livebearer

I just bought a slightly pregnant 6 and a half inch pike livebearer(guppy). Here is a pic.

What do you think? Any tips on keeping them or suggestions?

Nice fish no need for the (guppy) though they are not related, but would look good in guppy colours

Proper common name's are "Piketop Livebearer" or just "Pike livebearer" and Belonesox

To get fry you will need to feed her twice a day with 2-3 inch long fish, or you will just get poor fry.

No, US. I have feeder guppies in there and she wont eat them and she wont eat flake either( what the lfs and watch them feed her flake and she ate it fine). The guppies even birthed in the tank and she wont even eat the babies!!!!!

How long have you had her? Do you have the same exact food that the pet store uses? Also since she is predatory it is possible that she is infested with internal parasites and that could explain why she won't eat. Thats why it is always a bad idea to use feeders. Train them to eat frozen, its not too hard with most species even the pike livebearer.

she wont eat period and I saw her eat at the lfs and yes I have the same food( Omega One Tropical Fish Flake).

the LFS probably starve them for a week before feeding them the flake.

Wait a while so that they get used to the tank. If they have been in there really long and hte guppies gave birth, then they must be eating something... or else they would have been dead by then.

I noticed that the guppies dissappered and I put some danios in and one was stupid enough to swim right in front of her and wham!!!!! She ate him and enjoyed it too!!!!!!!!!!!!
