Pike cichlid

This is the pike cichlid i was recently given, can any of the cichlid experts confirm the species and sex?

CFC,

I would say C. saxatilis and 90% sure it's a male. Although it's spangling is not apparent, that could be due to not having a female present.


Here is a pair of C. saxatilis......

The female is quite obvious by the lack of spangles, smaller size and the pink bellie (eggs)
