Piece Missing From Oscars Fin

I purchased my lutino oscar from petsmart monday night, and he seems to be loving his new 90 gallon, eating, and he also loves to schoal with the SD's, but yesterday I saw that a little piece of his fin is missing...

When I was a novice fish keeper with my 29 gallon I had 5 african cichlids, and decided to buy a common oscar also. The africans beat the crap out of the oscar and I ended up returning him to the fish store. Couple months later I saw him in the big plant tank they have and he was healing up nicely.

My question is Will he be ok and will he heal up nicely also?

Did he get the rip before or after you added him to the tank, do you think?

It should get better provided it was not the SDs that caused the rip. Keep doing regular or a bit more frequent water chances and it should get better in no time.
