Pictus

they start small then grow huge so if yoiu plannin tho have it for a while you would need at least a 40 gallon tank

Why do you always ask how big for a juvie fish? When buying fish you should always make sure you already have a large enough tank to house the adult fish so that the fish can grow to fit the tank not vice versa.

Pictus cats need to be kept in groups of at least 3 and are a very active fast swimming catfish, a tank with a footprint of 48x12 would be the minimum size.

what a brilliant fish they are i take it you are asking about the smaller pictus cat not the real big one but yeah as cfc the master has already said very active fast swimmers that really come into there own @ nightime (well mine did) also they loved the high protein catfish pellets that just makes them grow and grow ... another point while catching the fish watch there pict fins as they have spines on the end ready and waiting to cut your finger or get caught in the net (they can be tricky to get out once tangled have had to cut nets before now
