Would a pictus cat eat african dwarf frogs, young clown loaches, marbled hachetfish, or albino cory cats? just asking because my tank is already stocked with all the above and i was wanting to add a picus, ive read about them eating things like the ghost shrimp and neons but i couldnt find anything about the above fish. any insight as to compatability would be great. thanks

yes. it would eat the cories for sure and that would result in both of them dying due to the cory spines.

 i really cant see a pictus taking a Corydoras, theyre quite simply the wrong shape to be swallowed easily.

Pictus cats will pick off any small or slender fish that will easily fit into their mouths, the frog and the hatchets might be at risk but the others would be fine.

thats why i was thinking that if a pictus tried to eat a cory only bad things could come from that.

realy ??? :/ i was told the corys would be eaten thats why i dont have them in the same tank ????cuz i asked befor if it was okay to mix corys and pictus catfish and all the messagers i got was it was a bad idear cuz they would be lunch when the catfish got bigger :fish:

and u cant stand by that as a fact ? ? cuz if u can i will put some corys in with mine cuz thats what i wanted to do befor ..........so how shore are u cuz i dont want to have a dead fish or one fat catfish with no other fish cuz u were wrong ??

yeah personally i would go with CFC's and jayjays opinion. I just went by principle and never put anything under half a pims body size in with it. CFC is most likely correct on this matter. I was wrong

I've kept them together before - no probs at all :good:

You just have to make sure your tank is large enough (minimum 4ft) for the Pictus to go zooming around and not send the corys flying in all directions at all times as the Pictus barges through or past them.
