im having problems housing my pictus ATM.....

i have a 75G with one male 6" frontosa where th epictus is at right now the front goes after him fromt ime to time......but tomorrow im adding 3 more 4.5" frontosas and this might not be a good mix for the pictus, it will be 2 frontosas after 2-3 weeks once i sell the 2 males off but till then i have to put the pictus somewhere

only other spots i have is a 55G community which has
3 discus,2 rams,7 neons,3 guppys,3 mollys,6 corys,3 ottos....he would not make a good mix with the guppys,neons,corys in here

then i have my 29G malwai with a 2" front juvenile, 7 labs and a red zebra juvi..... he would do well here with the species but its a 29G rather small for him being 5".....his whiskers are 5" theirself....i might say he is a big boy for a pictus.

You didn't realy ask a question but if you had one I think you answered it for yourself.

The pictus will not be happy in any of your current tanks - either re-home it or buy a new large tank before you get more frontosas.

well im picking up the frontosas from th ebreeder tomorrow there is no question about that, thats why i bought the new tank i might just take it to the LFS or try it inthe 29G but he is to big for the 30" length of the tank i think

Pictus can go in a thirty gallon, but I don't think it would be so great in your thirty because of all the cichlids. As to his size, they get around five to six inches, so he still might grow an inch.

well he was in the tank witht he cichlids before when they where all in the 55G they all got along good except for the frontosa he hates the pictus

Then try him in with them, it was just the seven labs thing, if they breed don't they get just a little nasty?

:hyper: :hyper: yeah but im sure thats enought ime to set soemthign else up, their tank will be upgraded to a 75G next, then its time for the big one!! a 6' tank
