i have got 2 pictus catfish and one i have not seen for about 2-3 days and today i did a water change and the catfish was still alive but had many bite marks on him
and he is missing one barbel and has a bad eye he is still swimming around but keeps banging into the glass and ornaments. is there anything i can do to help the recovery processor should i just let nature do its thing.

Tank size:
pH:
ammonia:0
nitrite:0
nitrate:0
kH:?
gH:?
tank temp:26

Fish Symptoms:bite marks, missing barbel, bad eye (red pupil abrasions)

Volume and Frequency of water changes:1-2 a week

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank:a plastic log thing (in which the catfish was hiding)

Tank inhabitants:eek:scar, severum, BGK, 2x pictus cats

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration):plastic log

Exposure to chemicals:none other than the de-chlorinator

Sounds like isolating the injured fish is a good start in a QT with a bit of the tank media and a filter, with daily ~20% water changes. Given there are signs of redness, an anti-bacterial med might be in order, I would use Myxazin myself. Do the water changes before adding the new day's dose of Myxazin, do not compensate for Myxazin lost with the removed water.

Any idea on the culprit? I'd guess at aggression from the Oscar or Sev.
