I got a new marble sword female and a red eye ruby male today. The male was too busy trying to impregnate my red female platy so wouldn't be photographed. Here is the marble girl

And here is one of the ruby red-eye lyretail swordy I got last week.....I think she is pregnant Ain't she beautiful

I spoke to the LFS guy today and it turns out that the red-eyes have only been with red eyes. And since my lyretail red eye girl is pregnant (fat enough to be) it has to be to a red eye male. Apparently there were no lyretail red eye males so I will be VERY curious as to what the fry will be.

Of course, the father could be my male blue platy but they have only been together a week and she looks close to popping Of course if he was the dad I'd be ecstatic as I have wqanted swordy-platy crosses for ages. And my prettiest red eye with my nice blue male would make beautiful fry

that ruby red eye lyretail is great...how much do they cost? i might think about getting some...although would they be fine with angelfish?

Swordies should be fine with angelfish though I have been told that since they are a cichlid angeks may nip at the long fins of a lyretail.

Here toe red eye swords cost me $6 AUSD each. Well worth it considering how rare thy are. They told me if I can breed them they would buy the fry off me
