Hi all....It's been a long time since I posted, so I thought that I would post a few new pictures of my boys.
The last time that I posted, which was over a year ago, now that I look back....anyway, at last post I had 6 Bettas. (Terk, Royal, Merlin, Johnny, Rogue, and Brody) I now have 4 Bettas currently....
Of those original six, I currently only have one of those still living. Terk. The others for whatever reason died. Merlin was purchased as a rescue (along with Royal) as both of them were in a Walmart cup together. While Merlin did pretty good for several months, I don't think that he ever fully recovered from that experience. All the rest would be fine one day, I would notice that they seemed a little weak the next day, baby them along for a few days, and then they would be gone. I'm guessing old age?? No visible signs of disease or anything....
At one point, I had purchased a female, a little white thing (a Cambodian really, I guess). I called her Pearl...she was a sweetheart!! I never got any pictures of her, but I had her for about 6 months.
So Terk (my old man) is doing well.
From last year....
These two are from today. Terk has never been the easiest to photograph....
Now, my 3 new ones
First off is Shimmer. I just loved his coloring in the store....I tend to lean towards the lighter colored Bettas, and if I didn't stop myself, they would all probably look pretty much the same!! I've had Shimmer for about 4 months
His tail isn't short, just flipped over in this shot...
He had just finished a big meal in these...he's the biggest pig of all of them!
Next is Roswell...I got him the same day as Shimmer. I have never seen another Betta colored like him...and he was hard to get a good picture of, but these are pretty accurate as far that goes (no flash washing anything out or making them a different color all together)
And please forgive me the stained divider in there....it just won't come clean!!
And finally, last week, I ventured out and purchased my first CROWNTAIL!!! I am a new fan!!
Meet Henry...(I was thinking Crown=King and the first King that came to mind was Henry....I can see a whole line of Crowntails with very regal names!!!
Anyway, don't get too excited, he is impossible to take a decent picture of....he simply will NOT stay still!!!!
Well, you can see his tail anyway....He was starting to flare at the camera just as I snapped the picture.
Well guys, tell me what you think!!
