If you have quick moving fish a flash helps so it is then best to stand at an angle to the glass so the flash reflects of it in another direction rather than back to the camera. :)

Also, you have to remember, it takes alot of pics to get a few good ones. If I take 100 pics, I may get 10 decent ones, and only 2 or 3 really good ones.

If your camera has a macro setting and your tank is well lit, you don't have to use the flash. This was advice given to me and my pictures aren't high quality, but they are (sometimes) presentable. :) I have some tanks that I can never use a flash on and others that I always have to use a flash. I think it depends on the lighting of the room and the tank.

Turn off the flash and shine some desk lamps (or whatever you can find) on the tank. I never use my flash... can't stand it. If you're using a film camera, pictures without the flash and without enough light will just be too dark. If you're using a digital camera, the pictures without enough light will probably come out blurry because the camera is automatically leaving the shutter open longer to compensate. Get enough light shining on the tank and I think you'll be ok.

aight thanks everyone
hopefully i will be able to get pics on here soon
