how do you have yours ? the roots should be buried in the sand or gravel, what is it that keeps pulling them up ?

The roots of swords are meant to be buried, its the rhizome that must be above substrate level.

well thats what I mean then haha! Just a picture please someone.

Here's my swords:

Bury them as deep as they need to be - they aren't like vallis where there needs to be a certain amount above the substrate.

Yeah thats how I have mine, but every now and again one with end up dieing and going yellow and see through! Im adding easycarbo every day as well

I've got a Rio180 tank with 1 30w day light and one 30w warm light. I have them on from 16.30-22.00 everyday. I put 5ml of Easycarbo in the tank everyday.

More than likely a nutrient deficiency in that case, Echinodorus spp. are heavy nutrient feeders from experience, if I were you I'd be dosing a decent fertiliser such as TPN+, or you could make your own for a fraction of the price with dry ionic salts.

Male Betta, Emperor Tetras, Peppered Corys, BN Plec, Red Tailed Shark,Honey Gouramis

Ive got them straight into sand, and thats all I add daily.

Thanks for the help. What is TPN? Typed it in ebay and doesn't bring anything up.

TPN+ is an all in one fertiliser, available from the likes of aqua essentials and other planted aquarium specialist.
