Got to wait another week for the plants, they said their order didnt come in, my tubes will come when the plants do. One of the filters if noisy, think theres some air trapped, but cant shift it, so getting them to check it over when they deliver plants.

Currently its running in the dark, fishless cycling.

WOW thats a very nice tank........its big.......looks fantastic

Very best of luck with it, it should look great when its planted up, just watch that CO2 cylinder doesnt topple over, i dont know if you have kids in the house or not but accidents will happen, it might be an idea to strap it to something solid, id be nervous anyway.

Looking forward to your progress mate very impressive setup.

One word "Awesome"
I like the cabinet with the drawers, very practicable.
Good luck with the tank and keep us posted with the update pics.
Regards

That's a nice looking setup. Love the stand. You're gonna have so much fun!

CO2 has a flat bottom, only me and girlfriend so no worries on knocking it over.

Thanks for comments so far.
Soon as I get the plants ill get more pics on here.

As for price, its was expensive, but I got a good deal, so it was very worth it. Its a Rena tank by the way.

How much lighting are you putting in?

Got 4 tubes, 6 foot long (ish). about 200 Watts. Its uprated lights too, but cant remember exact details, but my mate in the LFS recommended them cause they have them on a large tank set up they have.
The under side of the lid is smooth white metal as well, so that will reflect quite nicely.

Going to be a big community tank. I want to keep the fish from my smaller tank, so will just inlarge on that. Huge shoals of all types or fish.
Will be plants, bogwood and rock....

Wow why don't you move out of your home in to your new tank :p looks like there's loads or room, it going to look good when its done.

Keep us posted i would be interested in how you get along with your fertilizing schedule.

Snap!!

I'm doing what you are too, except mine is 1.8m.

My living room also looks like yours too with a pile of parts everywhere.

Good luck & will follow your progress as you are a bit more ahead of me!
