Well my Dad is planning on doing up the pond this year as its in dire need of a clean out. Lights from ebay arived today and he set them up to see what they look like. So I got some pics of the pond and garden all lighted up! Not all of them were switched on though! (Dads fond of his lights you see):

My neighbour witnessed a cat run off with one and we found the bones of another under our summerhouse when it got shifted.

Have you not considered a fine net over the top, my neighbour has a pond with 12 fully grown koi, and since every other person in my street has a cat, so he thought he'd prefer it if all the cats wern't having such expensive lunches.

First off Scotland is pretty cold! And secondly i dont think you get racoons in the Uk (?). Those lights look cool, might get some for my little pond. Unfortunately the net over our pond had a slight gap and a big ginger cat snatched my goldfish. He was 3 years old and i won him at a fayre :(

Well it's been such a long time since we seen any cats around our place. I found some old pics I've now scanned of my mum's sisters neighbours fish in Bedfordshire. He had massive koi he just tipped food into their mouths. He also had bits of wire above our heads to stop the big birds getting in:
