Thanks, but no, due to poor advice from a bad LFS, and a lack of research on my part, I have 6 TB's in the 10 gallon. When they grow too big I'll move them to a 30G i'm purchasing soon.

Tank looks really nice for a 10 gallon! Many ppl dont take the time for smaller tanks but i think they deserve just as much attention... That sucks about what the LFS told you. They will tell anyone anything to make a sale (or when they dont know what they are even talkign about )!

NICE JOB

Unfortunate about the tiger barbs... I always try to make it clear that tiger barbs get nasty in small tanks, I always try to make sure the tank is at least 20Gallons..

On a side note that gravel is making my eyes bleed! :p

I really like the tank, are any of those plants real or all placcy? cos they look great :)

Yea when I bought the TB's I didn't know what tank they needed, and the LFS told me a 10 was fine. I take the blame though as it was my responsibility to research before I bought.

Also, the plants are all plastic. I plan on buying a 29G next weekend after I get paid, and that will be real plants. I plan on possibly moving my TB's there and adding a pair of german blue rams. This tank would get zebra Danios in all likelyhood, or a school of neons. Not sure yet. I may say screw the 29G for now and spend more and get a 55G. Not sure yet.

nice!
dont worry about the TBs
i had 7 in a 13gallon :( the lfs told me they would be fine
obviously they wernt :S

Yeah i stopped listening to the lfs employees once they told me a common plec would work in a 10 gallon.

Nice deco, but I think it would look much better with natural gravel or sand :shifty: ...

So do I, thats my one regret, that I got blue gravel. It doesn't look bad...but I tend to like more natural looking setups. My next tank will definately be sand.

I'm sure you don't need an opinion on this, but if you get a bigger tank and get sand, it would be well worth it to get some fish that really enjoy digging in sand ^_^ It's probably one of the funnest things to watch I've ever seen. For a 29 gallon, I would HIGHLY reccomend a trio of Dojo Loaches!

(Yes, I am trying to enforce my love of the Dojo on others :p )

And keep in mind that if you get light colored sand, it's a pain in the bum to keep looking clean and nice ^^ 10 minutes after I clean it, it's already covored in poo and plants matter! :D

Good idea...they seem awesome.

SO my 29G (or maybe 30...preferably a 30) will have 3 Dojo Loaches, 2 German Blue Rams. I think I'll start a thread and ask for suggestions.

:D I promise you the Dojos will be worth it! They are bottom dwellers, but often like to feed at the top, and swim around then they're built up too much energy ^^
