Fisrt attempt at putting pics on so this may not work

If by any chance it does then i'll put pics of my other two female CT's when they stay still long enough for me to get a decent phto.

The purple female is fat because she is full of eggs. He didn't squeeze them all out last time. I have her in with him again (she's in seperate container) but he's taking no notice of her and no bubble nest as yet. She is geting fatter by the day and am worried about her becoming eggbound. What should i do now? Help! Any ideas will be welcomed.

not sure fish can become egg bound, its problem normaly associated with birds and occasionly reptiles.

When girls have too many ripe eggs, they will just release them. She is probably just really fat
You feed her well I take it. Very nice. Love the yellow boy.

All my CT girls are porkers too! Is this common in CT's? My VT and SD girls eat the same and don't get fat..

she aint fat, this female came from me and was starting to get all eggy then, about 2 weeks or so ago if im right, oh am i mistaken and its another girl dusky?
the problem with eggy females is that some dont drop the ripe eggs, if the plug is still in place and doesnt shift the eggs will press on the stomach and the stomach then presses on the swim bladder causing swim bladder problems, ive had a female who couldnt surface because of this and almost died, i also had one who could hardly move and hated the male she was in with but i suppose she gave in in the end and decided to spawn before she was totally disabled.

This is the first female i got from you.(purple one Miss Floosie) She was ok after first spawning but they both ate all the eggs. Ibbles seen her and thinks she's eggbound. Tried her in with Orange one but he sulked in a corner and took no interest at all. So now i've got her in with Royal stud again in a different tank (she's sectioned) Ha ha ha maybe i should be too!! . Problem is he isnt in his normal tank as the fry are in it and I don't think he likes the other tanks. 2 ft tank for 2/3 tiddlers that i can barely see!!!

Yes it was about 2 weeks ago. Nealry coming up for 3 now. She isn't doing much swimming. Sits on bottom most of time. But at least she is still swimming and not totaly laden down. I'm watching them both very closely and as soon as he starts bubble nest which I hope is soon i'll let her out . oh yawwwwwwnnn more sleepless nights.
